The Fondation Telecom

Under the aegis of the Fondation de France, the Fondation Telecom groups together businesses who wish to collaborate with the Télécom group of the Institut Mines-Télécom to tackle the ever-changing industrial, economic and social challenges posed by the digital society in which we live. The Fondation supports and finances collaborative programs and projects launched with our partners (including founding partners Alcatel Lucent, BNP Paribas, France Telecom-Orange and SFR) in the fields of training, research, innovation and future planning. |

The SME Club
The Télécom group of the Institut Mines-Télécom is committed to working with small and medium-sized businesses to help them establish themselves in the technology sector, to create fruitful partnerships between small businesses, researchers and the major companies who can offer access to wider markets, and to help innovative businesses reach an international audience.
To do this, the Institut Telecom has founded an SME Club, which already boasts a membership of more than fifty innovative businesses, all seeking to develop their ideas in partnership with the Institut’s research teams.
Thanks to out neutral status, our research prowess and our wealth of partnerships with a variety of major organizations within the industry, the Institut Telecom has a unique capability to catalyze creative relationships and shared innovation.
The club’s first meeting was held in May 2010.
The Télécom group of the Institut Mines-Télécom and the Innovation Academy
The Télécom group of the Institut Mines-Télécom is an active partner in the Innovation Academy founded by the National Association for Research and Technology (ANRT) and aimed at small businesses.
Worldwide
In order to help our large industrial and SME partners to identify innovation and forge productive partnerships at an international level, we are establishing a network of international partnerships to foster such links.
The basis for this network will be the wealth of academic partnerships developed by our schools in the fields of teaching and research.
Moreover, as part of the REDICT project launched by the European Region of Knowledge scheme, we have established a coalition including representatives from Amsterdam, Berlin, Bucharest, Copenhagen and Dublin. Our goal is to expand this network to achieve truly international coverage, to better meet the requirements of our industrial partners.

Instituts Carnot
In April 2011, the Télécom group of the Institut Mines-Télécom, its subsidiary Eurecom, Telecom St-Etienne, the Télécom Physique de Strasbourg, the LIX and CMAP labs of the Ecole Polytechnique, and Strate College were jointly awarded the Carnot label for the quality of their research in partnership, under the umbrella name Institut Carnot Télécom & Société Numérique.
